Engineering and Public Works

The Engineering and Public Works Department is responsible for providing both engineering services to the Town as well as having responsibility over Public Works, the water utility, sanitary sewage collection and treatment, and residential solid waste collection

As Town Engineer and Director of Public Works, Brian Herteis, P. Eng., has overall responsibility for all functions of the Engineering and Public Works Department as well as the statutory requirements as town engineer under the Nova Scotia Municipal Government Act.
