SPRINGHILL-A Town With A Rich History and a Bright Future

Welcome to the Town of Springhill's official website. Springhill a town of economic potential, a community of opportunity and becoming a community of choice. We in Springhill offer visitors a chance for a historical tour into the past and a glimpse forward at things to come. Centrally located in the Maritimes, easily within an hour of Moncton and less than two hours to Halifax, Springhill is a welcoming spot with many attractions from our Miners Museum, to the Anne Murray Centre. Friendly faces and warm smiles are ready to greet anyone and everyone to our area.

When visiting our town you will see how close we are to any and all activities surrounding Cumberland County, including close proximity to some of the best beaches in Nova Scotia and only a short trip for some great shopping.

If settling down is what you are looking for Springhill offers some of the best opportunities a family could ask for. Our town has an excellent Community Centre with a NHL size ice surface, Teen Centre, Meeting Rooms and Walking Track. This facility can accommodate several different functions and provide children with a quality place to meet with friends and get some exercise. Springhill boasts a state of the art Water Treatment Plant the only one in Cumberland County. This facility benefits residents as well as commercial interests. We in Springhill are fortunate to have not only two Elementary Schools but a High School and a Community College as well. All with a teaching staff capable of providing the education needed in today's world. Springhill offers Health Care through our All Saint's Hospital and access to Pharmacy Services, Fire and Police Protection, Restaurants, Banking, Golf Club, Gas Stations and many other services top the list as to why our Town offers so much to those seeking a place to call home.

In a world where going green means more than painting your house, Springhill leads the country with access to one of the best geothermal energy sources known today. By tapping into the limitless recesses of heated water located in old mine shafts, many businesses and our very own Community Centre have been able to lower operating costs and increase efficiencies. This renewable resource not only enables businesses to create a clean heat system, it provides the opportunity for businesses to expand and attract even more industry to the area.

Springhill is ready to welcome you a business person, industry or a family. Come and see for yourself, our strong workforce, dedicated volunteers and friendly citizens. We are positive you will agree that Springhill has so much to offer and has a future filled with promise and prosperity.
